Dangerous places in Abuja
Friday, 20 August 2010 17:27

The most dangerous places are usually the ones where you don't suspect it.

Today we went swimming in the Hilton, downtown Abuja. It is a bubble in it’s own.
Very fancy cars, expensive shops, and more Ojibus (whites), than we have seen so far.
But this morning, Ilse’s daughter Hella, who is becoming very font of us, spoke the following word; swimming pool, Lindalouise. And her repertoire is not yet that big. Since we don’t live at the expats house anymore, we needed a different pool. A little girl’s whish is a command..

So, off we went to the Hilton. We had a lovely morning, got a serious tan and way too expensive (but very good) café lattes. All fine so far. Than Linda tried to impress little Hella, by doing a double salto under water. Somehow she went to deep and bumped her tiny (?!) nose to the ground. There was a lot of bleeding.. Hella’s new words are; Lindabumped and nose. The small bottle of disinfectant costs €21,50 in the Hilton shop, so we decide to drive to a normal pharmacy instead.

No glasses for Linda right now...
